ABOUT THIS PIECE

“Being more” draws from the time in 2018 I went to summer camp. To an all womxn feminist summer camp in California. There I met Nicole Vaunt, this model and the subject of my painting and participated in a fire ceremony led by Leah Tioxon where I let go of this desire that I had been holding on to... to be a full time artist. It happened two months later. Growing is painful, sometimes it involves burning it all down and starting anew.

This original painting was created on a wooden panel with a 2” depth, so it doesn’t need to be framed and is ready to hang with a wire on the back.
